Help, I can’t afford help!

It’s a comforting thought to know that if I were to get into a major accident or contract a terrible illness, that I would receive top-notch medical treatment at any of the hospitals near my home. But not everyone has the same comforts. Around the country, there are many families and individuals don’t have the same ability to receive medical treatment if they are in need of it. This is precisely why I would donate to the Ronald McDonald House charity. The RMH charity provides free medical treatment to families and individuals that can’t afford the treatment themselves. It’s a terrible thought to think that many people are forced to endure major illnesses like cancer without hope of any help. And it’s even worse when compared to the luxuries that I enjoy. When it comes to healthcare, one million dollars is a lot of money. Enough money to change the lives of a lot of people. People whose lives are filled with endless misery and incredible pain. The RMH charity is much more than aid-giver, it’s a truly altruistic foundation that gives a service that lives up to its mantle. A service that changes lives.

Who uses cars?

A European city bike, an example of a bicycle ...

People talk about cars a lot. Personally, I like cars and I love to discuss makes and models but I don’t see why people actually drive cars. No, not really. I understand why people use cars and in my ways I understand the necessity of driving. But despite my tolerance for gas-guzzling monsters and their owners, I don’t use a car. I ride my bicycle. Yes, I ride my bicycle. I ride a bicycle anywhere I need to go. And, all things considered, I love it. It’s a four-speed bike and a model T4F1, very underground. And that’s one of the many reasons I love it. By underground, I mean it’s a heavily unpopular bike and, consequently, it’s very hard to find.  But as most car owners know, hard to find also means hard to fix. The rarity of my bike makes it fairly difficult to find replacement parts or material that will suit it properly. This often forces me to search the internet for hours looking for sellers that can fulfill my eccentric needs. Forgive my use of car jargon but my bike runs quite smoothly. My bike is incredibly useful for getting to and from school and to the various other locales that I frequent in social and academic lives. But on the flipside, I am often forced to sacrifice my long range opportunities because of my bike. I rarely go to the movies or restaurants as I live many miles away from the major entertainment districts. Dates, as you can imagine, are also fairly difficult as nobody, and I mean nobody, likes to ride around town on a bike.  But hey, like I said, who needs a car? I have a T4F1.

Viva La Germany?

If I could live anywhere, in the confines of this planet anyways, I would definitely choose the great nation of Germany. Sure, Germany has had, like any country, its fair share of bad publicity but , all things considered, Deutschland has a lot to offer, at least to me anyways.  Let’s talk food. Germany’s cuisine is among the best in the world. Like a lot of people, I like meat. But when I say I like meat, it would probably be more appropriate for me to say, I love meat. And when it comes to meat, there is no place like Germany. Bratwurst, bratwurst, bratwurst. Honestly, bratwurst is all the reason I need to go to Germany. But there is certainly more to my fascination than just food. Consider literature. The works of Goethe are among my favorites and the best I have ever read. I would certainly feel honored to live in the country that gave rise to such a spectacular writer and philosopher. And in the modern age, Germany certainly has much to offer to readers. I could probably go on and on and, maybe, on about why I love Germany and why I would live there. But anything I might say just comes down to culture. Germany’s culture is and the history behind that culture is truly astounding and in the words of JFK, “Ich bin ein Berliner!”

The Universe

Obverse of the Series 2006 $20 bill

Consider having the ability to see the Universe in 4 dimensions or contemplating space-time in the fashion of string theory. Still not convinced? Well, if I were Mr. Science I would use my powers, including the ability to cure cancer, invent 100% self-sufficient cars and create an energy revolution much like the grandeur of the invention of electricity, to further mankind. What was that? Oh you think I couldn’t beat bad guys? Well, if I were Mr. Science, why would there be any bad guys. Imagine living in a utopian world where I could use my powers to solve world hunger and end our reliance on fiat money like USD. Yep, if I was Mr. Science I would use my powers to cure the frailties of the human race and bring us to a new era in our development.  Well now, who still wants to be Superman?
